FKP "GkNIPAS" Will Demonstrate Antihelicopter Mine
The Federal Governmental Enterprise “State Governmental Scientific-Testing Area of Aircraft Systems” (FKP GkNIPAS) will present the antihelicopter mine at the second Forum "Engineering Technologies-2012".
According to the enterprise representative, the mine has passed successfully through the state testing and has got the certificate of the export version. At present time, the preparation for its serial production is under way.
The antihelicopter mine is intended to hit low-flying targets. It features high flying speed of the warhead explosively formed penetrators which allows firing at a target without any lead angle and it is essentially a package of the explosive device together and the helicopters smart detection system (the acoustical emission sensors and target sensors system).
Besides, the FKP "GkNIPAS" will present at the Forum the explosively-formed penetrator warhead with follow-through destructive element to the KH-25ML missile and GSH-7VT attack round with grenade & follow-through destructive element to the RPG-7V2 launcher.
The FKP "GkNIPAS" is one of the largest aviation test ranges in Russia. The test range experimental capability is mainly designed for the full-scale tests and development of the aviation weapon systems, advanced systems of the missilery and space-and-missile technology on the ground with their standard functioning simulation.
