INTERNATIONAL FORUM
"ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES 2010"

The First International Forum "Engineering Technologies 2010" will be held from June 30 to July 4, 2010 in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, in the territory of the Transport Exhibition Center "Russia", the traditional venue for MAKS International Air-Space Salon.

The Forum is organized by the Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSMTC of Russia) and Russian Technologies State Corporation and is supported by several ministries and agencies of the Russian Federation. The General Sponsor of the Forum is JSC Transport Exhibition Center "Russia" (TEC "Russia"), and the General Partner of the Forum is the Russian Engineering Union. The First International Forum will be held under the auspices of the Administration of the Russian President, the Russian Federation Government, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Government, the Moscow Region Government, and FSUE "Rosoboronexport".

The Forum will serve as an efficient tool for implementation of some important objectives, such as development of the national engineering industry, promotion of its products on the global market, boosting the competitiveness and enhancing the prestige of the Russian engineering products, including implementation of the main national objective set forth by the Russian President - modernization and technological development of Russia.

The Forum is designed to promote implementation of the new technologies, to stimulate development and modernization of the material and technical base of enterprises within the Russian Military-Industrial Complex, to attract investment capitals and to promote integration of the countries in manufacture of weapons, military equipment and civil products.
The Forum schedule includes Business, Exhibition and Demonstration Programs and stipulates that the specialists will attend the Forum from June 30 to July 2, while the general public will be welcomed on July 3 and 4.

The Business Program of the Forum shall start with the plenary meeting on the topic "Technical and technological modernization of the machine-building complex as the basis for the country's economic development".
Below are the main topics of the conferences and round tables included in the Business Program of the Forum:
- equipping the CSTO emergency response forces with modern weapons, military equipment and special vehicles;
- predicting the most promising areas of engineering development and elaborating strategies for implementation of development projects;
- forming investment climate in the engineering industry;
- advanced aviation technologies and scientific designs in engineering;
- the role of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment in the development of innovative and high-tech product manufacture in the Russian Federation;
- unmanned Multipurpose Vehicle Systems;
- modernization and renovation of the production and technological bases in engineering industry;
- protection of intellectual property at enterprises of the military-industrial complex and in the process of military and technical cooperation.
The Business Program of the Forum also includes the days for youth and military-patriotic education.

The Exhibition Program of the International Forum "Engineering Technologies 2010" will be the first event to join the previously independent exhibitions that are connected ideologically, complement each other organically and are designed to be the Forum's illustrative site demonstrating current trends in the industry's development:
- International Exhibition of Machine-Building Technologies "INTERMASH 2010";
- 4th Salon of Weapons and Military Equipment "MVSV 2010";
- International Air and Space Exhibition "AEROSPACE 2010";
- International Exhibition "Unmanned Multipurpose Vehicle Systems UVS-TECH 2010".

International Exhibition of Machine-Building Technologies "INTERMASH 2010" is aimed at provide a comprehensive view of the innovative technologies and the high-tech equipment used in creating the specimens presented at the exhibitions. The exhibition concept provides for displays based on industries and covers the principal directions of modernization and renovation of the industrial and technological base for enterprises in the machine-building complex and the related industry branches.

Salon of Weapons and Military Equipment "MVSV 2010" is the main exhibition of military products held in the Russian Federation and the center for demonstration of the latest achievements in the arms and military equipment design. The overall exposition of the Salon includes national display stands of foreign countries and the joint stand of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states.

International Exhibition "AEROSPACE 2010" is to demonstrate the latest achievements in the sphere of space atms produced in Russia, to enhance the image of the Russian Federation as a leading global manufacturer of space arms and equipment, and to promote development of domestic and foreign cooperation among enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex operating in the air and space industry.

International Forum and Exhibition "Unmanned Multipurpose Vehicle Systems" - "UVS-TECH 2010" is a professional specialized platform bringing together Russian and foreign designers, manufacturers and consumers of unmanned systems. The event has the following objectives: presentation of projects, demonstration of achievements made by designing and manufacturing enterprises, exchange of experience, discussion of strategies, lines of development and needs of the military and civil industries for the works and services in the field of unmanned vehicle system construction and use.

Within the scope of the Demonstration Program, the performance and operational characteristics of arms, military equipment, motor vehicles of all purposes, fire-fighting equipment and security systems will be demonstrated to the general public in a dynamic environment for the first time. In addition to the equipment demonstration, on July 3 and 4, when the largest number of guests is expected to attend the Forum, the guests will see a military and sports show with participation of DOSAAF and special branches of the Russian Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff of the Defence Ministry, the Federal Security Service and the Russian Federation Defence Ministry, which assists with implementation of the tasks of patriotic education of Russian citizens.
